The Independent Contract Medical Courier for the Morning Laboratory Route plays a critical role in healthcare logistics by providing scheduled, time-sensitive transportation of medical specimens from independent laboratories to diagnostic testing facilities. This route requires a contractor who is highly reliable, professional, and committed to careful handling protocols.
Contractor Requirements
- Own and operate a reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle (sedan or small SUV preferred).
- Maintain valid vehicle insurance with appropriate coverage limits.
- Maintain a professional personal appearance and demeanor.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Ability to utilize mobile logistics software for pickup and delivery documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in medical courier or healthcare logistics.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and bloodborne pathogen safety protocols.
- Strong knowledge of the Montgomery County and DMV regional road networks.
Compensation
Competitive daily flat rate for completed route. Payments are made weekly via direct deposit.
